Although Chiclana de la Frontera is approx 6 km from the coast it is very well represented by Sancti Petri, which has become the town's summer resort.

Chiclana has always been an agricultural town, and is extremely well known for its superb wines and medicinal spa waters.

The town itself is typically Andalusian with narrow, cobbled streets and courtyards full of colourful flowers. One of the town's main attractions is that it is one of the few villages that have managed to defy time by preserving the most genuine traditions of southern Andalucia.

Processions, bullfighting, flamenco, wine production, and the traditional "tapeo", small portions of food served with wine at noon, are simply part of the every day life here in Chiclana. All this and more has given a touristy boost to a town that is already growing fast.
